RLS Remote Learning School

Terms of Service

Effective date: September 16, 2026. These terms apply to Homeschool Pro™, Afterschool Plus™ and the related services operated by RemoteLearn LLC.

The short version. You must be an adult to enroll, and you enroll on behalf of the children in your household. One membership covers all of them. Monthly plans renew until you cancel; semi-annual, annual and lifetime plans don't. Every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, including purchases made at promotional prices. We provide the curriculum, grading, records and advisor support; you remain the leader of your homeschool and responsible for meeting your state's requirements. The rest of this page spells that out.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and RemoteLearn LLC, 2108 N St, STE 4119, Sacramento, CA 95816 ("we," "us," "our"). They govern your use of the Homeschool Pro™ and Afterschool Plus™ programs, our websites (including remotelearning.school and kids.remotelearning.school), the certificate and assignments portals, student email accounts, the knowledge base and forums, and everything else we provide with your membership (together, the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. By enrolling or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Who can enroll

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a membership. Students of any school age may use the Service, but only through accounts created and controlled by their parent or legal guardian. When you enroll a student, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian (or have that person's authority), you accept these Terms on the student's behalf, and you are responsible for the student's use of the Service.

3. Accounts

  • Parent account. Each membership has one parent account, tied to the email address used at enrollment. It's used for billing, the Parent Portal, adding students and communicating with us. Changes to the membership, including cancellation, must come from that account.
  • Student accounts. You add students through the Learner Enrollment Form in your Parent Portal. Enter each child's name exactly as it should appear on their records, because it will be used on their student ID, certificates, report cards, transcript and diploma.
  • Keep credentials private. Parent and student logins may be used only by your household. Don't share them with anyone else, and let us know right away if you think an account has been compromised.
  • Accurate information. Keep your contact and billing information current so we can reach you and deliver your students' records.

4. What the Service is, and isn't

Homeschool Pro™ is a complete K-12 online homeschool curriculum with video lessons, quizzes and assignments, grading, certificates, transcripts and a dedicated homeschool advisor. Afterschool Plus™ is an enrichment program for students in public or private school and does not include instructor-graded assignments, transcripts, a diploma or advisor support.

We are a curriculum provider, not a school. When you homeschool with Homeschool Pro, you are the teacher of record for your homeschool, and you are responsible for complying with the homeschool laws of your state or country, including any notices, forms, testing, attendance and record-keeping they require. Our advisors help you understand and prepare for those requirements, but their guidance is not legal advice, and we can't guarantee that any school, district, college, employer or government agency will accept a transcript, diploma, certificate or credit from our program. Please check the requirements of your state and of any institution your child may apply to.

Every child learns differently, and we don't promise particular academic results.

5. Plans, billing and renewal

  • Monthly. Billed monthly and renews automatically each month at the price shown when you enroll until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing section of your account or by emailing info@remotelearning.school; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month, and you keep access until then.
  • Semi-Annual and Annual. A single payment for six or twelve months of access. These plans do not renew automatically. Near the end of the term we may remind you that it's ending so you can choose a new plan.
  • Lifetime. A single payment for access, with no renewals or further fees, for the school years of the children in your household. A Lifetime membership belongs to the purchasing household and can't be sold, transferred or shared outside it. If we ever discontinue the Service, we'll give as much notice as we reasonably can and make sure you can obtain your students' records first.
  • Family Special. While it's offered, every plan covers all the children in your household for whom you are the parent or legal guardian, at no additional cost, for as long as your membership stays active. "Household" means the children living with you; the membership is not for other families, relatives outside your home, co-ops or groups. We may withdraw the Family Special for new enrollments at any time; that won't affect a membership that's already active.
  • Prices. We may change prices for new enrollments and, for monthly plans, for future renewals, in which case we'll notify you by email before a renewal at a new price so you can cancel first. Prepaid terms and Lifetime memberships are never charged more than you already paid. Prices are in U.S. dollars and don't include any taxes we're required to collect.
  • Payment. Payments are processed by our payment providers at checkout. If you choose Klarna, Affirm or Afterpay for a Lifetime membership, their terms govern your installment plan; your membership with us is a single purchase. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access until it's resolved.

6. 30-day money-back guarantee and refunds

If Homeschool Pro or Afterschool Plus isn't right for your family, tell us within 30 days of your purchase and we'll refund 100% of what you paid for that purchase. The guarantee applies to every plan, including purchases made at promotional or sale prices, and there are no conditions on use. To request a refund, email info@remotelearning.school from the email address on your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method (or, for pay-over-time purchases, through the installment provider).

After 30 days, payments are not refundable. You can still cancel a monthly plan at any time to stop future charges, and prepaid and Lifetime memberships continue for their term. Nothing in this section limits any refund right you have under the law of your state or country.

7. Records after your membership ends

Certificates, transcripts, report cards and diplomas your students earned remain theirs. Our certificate portal and online certificate verification remain available for certificates already issued, and you can request copies of records by email. If you'd like your family's information deleted instead, see the Privacy Policy.

8. Using the Service

Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for the education of the children in your household. You agree not to:

  • copy, download for redistribution, record, resell, or share our lessons, videos, worksheets, quizzes, assignments or other materials, or use them for any group, school, co-op or commercial purpose (printing worksheets and materials for your own students is fine);
  • share logins or let anyone outside your household use the Service;
  • submit work that isn't the student's own, or otherwise misrepresent a student's progress;
  • interfere with the Service, attempt to access accounts or systems you're not authorized to use, or scrape or copy the Service by automated means;
  • use any of our content to develop or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models; or
  • use the Service in any way that violates the law.

9. Community features and student work

Some parts of the Service let students and parents participate publicly: the forums, the student-written magazine, the science fair, talent show and other contests, and the Youth Advisory Board. When you take part, you agree to be respectful, to keep personal information (yours and others') out of public posts, and not to post anything abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate for an audience of children. We may moderate, remove or decline to publish anything, and may suspend accounts that don't follow these rules.

Students own the work they create. If you or your student submit work to a contest, the magazine or another program feature, you give us permission to display it within the Service and, with your permission as parent or guardian, to publish it (for example, naming contest winners or featuring an article). You can withdraw that permission for future use at any time by contacting us.

10. Our content

The curriculum, lessons, videos, worksheets, quizzes, assignments, certificates, designs, software and trademarks (including Homeschool Pro™, Afterschool Plus™, LearnAdventure™ and RemoteLearning.school) belong to RemoteLearn LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Except for the license in section 8, no rights are granted to you. If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, email info@remotelearning.school with a description of the work, where it appears, your contact details, and a statement that you own the rights or are authorized to act for the owner.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access to the Service if these Terms are violated, if a payment fails or is reversed, if required by law, or to protect the safety of students or the security of the Service. Where reasonable we'll contact you first and give you a chance to resolve the issue. If we end a membership for a violation, no refund is due beyond any right you have under section 6 or under applicable law. You can end your membership at any time as described in section 5.

12. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We add, update and occasionally retire classes and features, and we may change how the Service is delivered. We'll try to give notice of changes that significantly affect what your membership includes. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify parents by email before they take effect. If you don't agree to a change, you may cancel; continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept it.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that it will meet every requirement of your state, school or child. Some jurisdictions don't allow these disclaimers, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RemoteLearn LLC and its owners, employees, teachers, advisors and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. This limitation doesn't apply to liability that can't be limited by law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your or your students' violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or infringement of someone else's rights.

16. Resolving disputes

If you have a problem, please contact us first at info@remotelearning.school; most issues are resolved that way. If we can't resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, you and we agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in Sacramento County, California, or by video or phone at your request, rather than in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Each of us agrees to bring claims only in our own capacity and not as part of a class or representative proceeding. Judgment on an arbitration award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable United States federal law.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms or your membership to anyone else; we may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business, and the successor will be bound by them. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
