Getting started

Is Homeschool Pro a full curriculum?

Yes. Homeschool Pro is a complete K-12 curriculum with every core subject (math, language arts, science and social studies) for every grade, plus hundreds of electives to choose from. Each class includes video lessons, quizzes, assignments and a certificate of completion. Browse the course catalog to see everything that's included.

I've never homeschooled before. How do I get started?

Every state has its own rules about notice, forms and reporting. If you're unsure what your state requires, email your assigned advisor, who will walk you through the forms and requirements. Your advisor's name and email address are in your welcome email.

Can I start in the middle of the school year?

Yes. Families enroll all year round, and your advisor can help with any forms your state needs for a mid-year start.

What grades does Homeschool Pro cover?

Kindergarten through 12th grade. Each class can also be taken at, above or below grade level, so a child can review one subject while moving ahead in another.

Can I enroll from outside the USA?

Yes. Families use Homeschool Pro from Canada, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia, including many U.S. families living abroad.

How do I add my students after I enroll?

Log in to your Parent Portal and complete the Learner Enrollment Form. Enter each child's name exactly as it should appear on their student ID, certificates, transcript and diploma. You'll receive an email with each student's login, typically within 3 to 4 business days.

The curriculum

What subjects and classes are included?

Math, language arts, science and social studies for every grade, plus electives and extracurricular classes such as coding, zoology, meteorology, astronomy, psychology, music, art, drama, entrepreneurship and sports. See every class by grade, or open the course catalog for descriptions.

Who teaches the classes?

Real teachers. Every class is pre-recorded on video by a teacher, so your child can watch any time, pause, and rewatch whatever needs another look.

Are classes at set times? Is there a schedule?

No. All classes are pre-recorded, so your kids can learn morning, afternoon or evening and rewatch any lesson as many times as they need. The program works around your family's schedule.

Can my child take classes above or below grade level?

Yes. Each class can be taken below, at or above grade level, independently of the others.

How much of my time does it take?

Less than you might expect. Lessons are self-paced video, quizzes are auto-graded and written assignments are graded by instructors, so older students can work largely on their own. Younger children may want a parent nearby, as with any program. You set the pace and the schedule.

Do I have to buy textbooks?

No. All required materials are included with the classes and available to download, so there's nothing extra to buy.

Are new classes added?

Yes, throughout the year. If your child is interested in a subject you don't see, tell your advisor; requests from families help decide what we build next.

Grading and records

How are quizzes and assignments graded?

Quizzes, tests and exams are auto-graded with instant results. Written assignments are graded by instructors, who leave feedback your child can learn from. Graded work for all your kids is collected in the assignments portal.

Does my child earn certificates?

Yes. Every completed class earns a certificate of completion, printable, shareable and verifiable online, in your child's own certificate portal.

How do transcripts and graduation work?

Students who complete high school through Homeschool Pro and meet the graduation requirements applicable under their state's homeschool laws receive a high school diploma and an official transcript.

Can schoolwork done elsewhere be added to the transcript?

Yes. Past schoolwork and homeschool progress done outside Homeschool Pro can be added, so your child has one complete transcript.

Advisor support

How can the homeschool advisor help me?

Your advisor knows the forms, deadlines and requirements for homeschooling in your state and can help with withdrawing your child from school, letters of intent and other state forms, progress reports, attendance and record-keeping, high school credits and transcripts, graduation planning, and college and scholarship applications.

How do I contact my advisor?

By email, whenever a question comes up and as often as you need. Your advisor's name and email address are in the welcome email that came with your student's login.

Will my advisor contact me first?

Advisor support is optional and available when you need it. Advisors generally wait for families to reach out, so there's no need to wait for a message before you write.

Membership and billing

Do I need a membership for each child?

No. As part of the Family Special, every plan covers all the homeschoolers in your household under one membership at no additional cost. Each child gets their own login, dashboard, progress tracking and certificates.

Are there any other fees?

No. Your membership includes unlimited access to all current and future classes, all materials and every feature, for every child in your family.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Not the right fit? Cancel any time within 30 days of your purchase, on any plan, and you get 100% of your money back. No fine print, no questions asked.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. The Lifetime plan can be split into installments with Klarna, Affirm or Afterpay at checkout. The monthly and semi-annual plans spread the cost as well.

What is the Lifetime membership?

One payment instead of a monthly or annual subscription. Every child in your family can use the program for all their school years, and you can add younger kids later when they're ready to start. There are no renewals and no other fees, ever.

How does the monthly plan work?

It renews each month until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime. The semi-annual plan is a single payment for six months of access and does not auto-renew.

What will the charge look like on my statement?

Payments appear as "KIDS.REMOTELEARNING.SC" or "*REMOTELRN".

Accounts and access

Where do parents and students log in?

At remotelearning.school/login. Parents sign in with the email they used to sign up, which opens the Parent Portal. Students sign in with their @remotelearning.school email address. Log out before switching between accounts on the same device.

Will my kids get a student ID and a school email address?

Yes. Every child receives a student ID card, which can be used for student discounts, proof of enrollment and as an alternative form of identification, plus a @RemoteLearning.school email address. Parents receive a teacher ID card as well.

Can we use any device?

Yes. Lessons work in a web browser on a laptop, tablet or phone, at home or on the road.
